Google's Camera Philosophy

While Samsung and Apple compete on megapixel counts, Google has always taken a different approach: computational photography. The Pixel 9 Pro's camera system is built around Google's Tensor G4 chip and its specialized image signal processor, which handles real-time machine learning tasks for every shot.

Camera Hardware

The Pixel 9 Pro features a 50MP main sensor with an f/1.68 aperture, a 48MP ultrawide with autofocus, and a 48MP 5x telephoto. While these specs don't seem dramatically different from last year, the image processing pipeline has been completely rebuilt.
